The Latest | 2024 DB Peyton Woodyard
2024 St. John Bosco (Calif.) defensive back Peyton Woodyard and his father got his first look at Notre Dame in June and left blown away with everything the program and University had to offer. Woodyard tells me he'll be back in South Bend for the USC game in October and he'll be joined by his mother and father on this one. Woodyard will be going back to Ohio State with multiple teammates for the Oregon game, but one source told me his parents will not be going on that trip (as of now). I'm hesitant to throw in a prediction for a 2024 kid this early, but all signs point to Notre Dame leading this one at this point. It also helps Notre Dame that Woodyard plays the same position as his cousin, Kyle Hamilton.RankingISD: N/R247: 90 (four-star)Rivals: N/RESPN: N/ROffers: Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, Boston College, Florida International, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon State, Penn State, UNLV and USCFirst Two Games of 2021https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3189419/6123d477d21acf0cec768d63https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3189419/6129e5190661740b80d91429

247 Drops First Top 100 for 2024
It's early lol. 2024 Notre Dame Offers 6. WR Ryan Wingo 14. QB Julian Sayin 19. DE Nigel Smith Jr. (ND first offer)20. S Peyton Woodyard 67. QB Adrian Posse 99. QB CJ Carr The one I'm watching is 2024 ATH Brauntae Johnson out of Fort Wayne. He camped at Notre Dame this summer and impressed the staff. I'm not sure the staff has narrowed down a position for him yet as most see him as a WR, but he could be a dynamic safety too. Over a year ago his WR coach, Dre Muhammad, told me Johnson would be his first top 15-20 player in the country, which spoke volumes to me as he's coached Austin Mack, Ben Skowronek and had Tyler Eifert, Jaylon Smith and Jessie Bates training at his facility since the high school.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
