Peyton Woodyard

2024 St. John Bosco (Calif.) safety Peyton Woodyard will focus on seven schools moving forward and Notre Dame will be one of them. The four-star prospect will turn his attention to Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and USC. Right now, it seems like Ohio State and USC are out in front with Georgia being the sneak team in play. Notre Dame is a school that has recruited him longer than anyone and he does have good relationships there, but the staff has work to do there. Not ruling it out, but Woodyard seems like a long shot at this point. He was a frequent visitor to South Bend over his sophomore year as he made three trips to campus, but he hasn't returned since Notre Dame's spring game in April. Part of it was getting to see games at schools he hadn't been to, so it makes sense, but Notre Dame needs to get him back on campus sooner than later to stay in this one. That said, Woodyard did see Notre Dame play twice this year when he was at Ohio State and USC.
