Quick notes on 2024 QB offer Adrian Posse
Matt and I were at ND's QB camp they held today and it wasn't exactly loaded with top prospects (mostly younger players in attendance), but 2024 QB Adrian Posse was there and he holds an ND offer.Tommy Rees took him aside and put him through a mini Pro Day type of workout so there was plenty there for Rees to see and evaluate. Posse is big. He's listed at about 205, but looked closer to 6'4" 220 with room to get even bigger. He's probably going to be over 230 in college. He certainly flashed some impressive arm talent with good zip on intermediate throws and he threw a few absolute dimes with the deep ball. He has a nice compact release and his lower body mechanics are sound. If I was just judging him on his best stuff, he had about 4 or 5 "wow" throws, then it's obvious why he has an early ND offer and has been offered by plenty of other big time programs. However, he had some issues with his delivery that made the ball wobble more than you'd like to see and some of the quick release stuff he struggled with. I think that was because he wasn't getting his fingers on the laces and just letting it go on those ones. There were some throws where he let it go too late and the ball was diving on him a bit. Based on his sophomore film, I gave him a grade of 89 because I thought he was a bit late in processing things in the pocket and I had questions about his mobility. I don't think he's a statue based on seeing him move today, but I also think he's more of an old school big guy in the pocket than anyone who will escape and be used as a runner. I'm sticking with my grade for now because I see him as a borderline 4-star at the moment, but there is plenty of upside because of the arm talent. We'll see CJ Carr throw on Sunday so it will be fun to compare and contrast the two then. Also wanted to throw in that former NBA player Raja Bell was in attendance as his son, 2026 American Heritage QB Dia Bell, was at the camp. Bell is only going to be a freshman this year and is going to get bigger (5'10" 160 at the moment), but I could see the athleticism and he had a really nice release. Just a name to keep in mind for the future as I think he may become an intriguing prospect down the line.

2024 QB sets visit
2024 Columbus (Fla.) quarterback Adrian Posse has set a return date to Notre Dame for June 3rd, which is Notre Dame's quarterback academy. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder visited Notre Dame last summer for camp and then was offered by Tommy Rees. Posse will have an aggressive visit schedule in June as Notre Dame is one of his first stops in a wild tour across the country. 247 Drops First Top 100 for 2024
It's early lol. 2024 Notre Dame Offers 6. WR Ryan Wingo 14. QB Julian Sayin 19. DE Nigel Smith Jr. (ND first offer)20. S Peyton Woodyard 67. QB Adrian Posse 99. QB CJ Carr The one I'm watching is 2024 ATH Brauntae Johnson out of Fort Wayne. He camped at Notre Dame this summer and impressed the staff. I'm not sure the staff has narrowed down a position for him yet as most see him as a WR, but he could be a dynamic safety too. Over a year ago his WR coach, Dre Muhammad, told me Johnson would be his first top 15-20 player in the country, which spoke volumes to me as he's coached Austin Mack, Ben Skowronek and had Tyler Eifert, Jaylon Smith and Jessie Bates training at his facility since the high school.
