Leaving San Antonio
Initially, I was supposed to leave after Saturday's game, but the threat of weather in the Northeast prompted American Airlines to advise me to head out before tonight's storm. While I enjoy complaining about the Underclassmen Combine and the difficulty in trying to cover a handful of kids amongst 500-plus, the fact that I'll be missing it this year actually has me bummed out. But, I did get a chance to speak with several potential Notre Dame targets throughout the day on Thursday and I'll be eager to see how they perform today. I truly enjoyed my time here this year.Getting to spend time around Cam Williams, Kedren Young, Bryce Young and Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa provided me a ton of insight into how they are as players, but more importantly people. I feel more confident about each of them after having done so and if they are representative of the Irish's 2024 class as a whole, the Irish are going to be in tremendous hands in the years to come.
