Coaches on the Road | 5.3
It's Tuesday and Notre Dame's coaches are on the road for spring evaluation period. Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees is expected in the St. Louis area today. We expect him to make stops at St. Louis University (Mo.) to check on top 2024 receiver Ryan Wingo. Christian Brothers (Mo.) also expects to host Reese as it's the home of 2023 running back Jeremiyah Love and 2024 receiver Jeremiah McClellan. Both prospects recently visited Notre Dame this spring and both loved what they saw in South Bend. Running backs coach Deland McCullough is expected in the Miami area today. Receivers coach Chansi Stuckey will remain in Georgia on Tuesday and he'll be making stops around the ATL area. Gerad Parker is expected to be in the Knoxville area on Tuesday. Offensive line coach Harry Hiestand will make the trip from Arizona to North Carolina to check on top target Sullivan Absher. Absher was at Notre Dame's spring game and really enjoyed his second trip to South Bend. While Hiestand can't meet with Absher, Notre Dame's presence at the school once again will be a big deal for the four-star prospect. Defensive coordinator Al Golden is expected to be in New Jersey. 2023 commit Adon Shuler's coach and father believes Golden could stop by. Bergen Catholic will also be a likely stop as they have 2024 safety target Kaj Sanders. 2024 defensive line target Owen Wafle expects Golden to stop by today or Thursday. Defensive line coach Al Washington will be making an important appearance today as he'll stop by St. James School (Md.) to check on top 2023 defensive line target Devan Houstan. Notre Dame leads here and Washington's presence around the school is a good thing here. Cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens is expected to remain in Michigan today and one stop will likely be to check on new 2024 defensive line commit Brandon Davis-Swain. We expect safeties coach Chris O'Leary to be in Florida. Navarre High School will be a stop for O'Leary as its the home of 2024 linebacker Zavier Hamilton. Hamilton made a trip to Notre Dame this spring and we feel the Irish are an early player in this recruitment. Special teams coordinator Brian Mason attended a workout at Decatur Central on Monday and we expect him to remain in Indiana today. Mason is expected at Westfield (Ind.) to check on 2023 safety Dillon Thieneman.Notre Dame Fighting Irish 50" x 60" Frosty Fleece Team Blanket

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
