Practice Observations | March 25
- The same crew worked in The Pit as the first day of spring ball. - RB Logan Digg was not dressed, but he walked into practice gingerly, so likely nothing serious. - Chansi Stuckey was working on balance with the receivers as he had them hop over an object on one foot, hope back and then explode into their route. Stuckey has done a lot of "weird" drills like this to work on balance in past viewings. I personally like it. It's outside the box. - Lorenzo Styles seems to have some confidence back as he caught the ball well and just looked like the confident player he was last spring. Tobias Merriweather moves really well for his size (i don't have to tell you that). - Jaden Greathouse is an impressive athlete. He makes his routes look effortless. Rico Flores Jr. is a good route runner and goes 150 miles per hour. He's not the fastest, but Flores will win with effort. - Kaleb Smith is a big guy. He moves pretty well, but he runs closer to a tight end than a receiver from the little viewing we've seen. That's fine as he'll be in the boundary. - The Notre Dame cornerbacks were working on tackling. I don't know if I just haven't seen football in months, but it seems like this group really attacks the tackling dummy and brings it. The corners also worked with the linebackers and safeties to break up quick screens and Jaden Mickey and a couple others really brought the wood. - Notre Dame brought several recruits out to the 50 to meet 1-on-1 with Marcus Freeman during individual drills. Quality move. There were a ton of recruits there and will have photos later. - I didn't watch too much of the offensive line but Michael Carmody was working with the first team at left guard and Andrew Kristofic was at right guard. - Marcus Freeman was a little late for practice - but then Freeman and Chad Bowden emerged from The Gug with 2024 defensive lineman Justin Scott and his family. 2024 DL Justin Scott and Marcus Freeman all smiles heading into Saturday's practice. pic.twitter.com/EHfKLjNjv8— Matt Freeman (@mattfreemanISD) March 25, 2023 - Basketball coach Micah Shrewsberry was also at practice. - 2023 signees Charles Jagusah and Micah Bell were in the IAC too. - We were allowed the first 5 periods - period 6 they went into a team period and the first play was a run and you could hear contact echo throughout the entire building as Audric Estime run the ball up the middle. Very physical. Notre Dame Fighting Irish Guinness Victory Falls Tri-Blend T-Shirt

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
