2023 TE Jackson Carver
I thought I had posted this a while ago, but I can't find it, so apologize if it's somewhere. 2023 Culver Academies (Ind.) tight end Jackson Carver had been committed to Notre Dame lacrosse since 2020, but he has since decommitted to focus on football after playing his first season last fall. In fact, Carver actually reclassified to the 2023 class as he was originally in the 2022 class. The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder has racked up offers from Boston College, Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Penn, Pitt, Princeton, Purdue, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Yale. He did visit Notre Dame twice in the fall as a football recruit, but it's still somewhat up in the air what the Irish are going to do at the tight end position. Cooper Flanagan is already committed and remains solid in his commitment and it would seem odd to have another class of two tight ends even with Michael Mayer leaving after this year. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”
