Brandon Davis-Swain decommits from Notre Dame
2024 West Bloomfield (Mich.) defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain has decommitted from Notre Dame, which should surprise too many people. The four-star prospect did make to the Notre Dame-Boston College game in November, but he also took in several Michigan games too.As it relates to Notre Dame, I'm not sure too many folks are overly upset about the decommitment and Davis-Swain's commitment didn't sway the Irish from offering and targeting other prospects they see fitting into his position. Appreciate the Irish fans love you guys ☘️ pic.twitter.com/ZWH1Hg2Kev— Brandon Davis-Swain (@Brandon50141405) December 11, 2022 Notre Dame Fighting Irish First Battle Pullover Hoodie

Couple Scratches For Tuesday
I'm told Irish DL commit Brandon Davis-Swain and WR target Jason Robinson are not expected to make it for the BBQ. Not a huge shock for either. With Davis-Swain, it doesn't sound like there's anything at all to be concerned about, simply a logistical issueAs for Robinson, we've talked before about how important it is to get a California kid committed to USC on campus, so it's definitely disappointing. But as we mentioned in Intel, we knew this was a possibility and don't believe it has anything to do with his interest level.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
