The Latest | 2027 QB Zac Katz
2027 Chaminade Madonna Prep (Fla.) quarterback Zac Katz tells me he'll be on campus for Irish Invasion this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder will likely be a top-ranked quarterback in his class when that time comes as he threw for 2,973 yards, 38 touchdowns and one interception as a true freshman at True North Classical Academy (Fla.). He'll now take the reigns of one of the top programs in Florida as he'll be throwing to one of the best receiver corps in the country. 2026 composite five-star Jabari Brady, 2026 Auburn commit Denairius Gray, 2025 four-star receiver Koby Howard, 2025 Georiga State commit Kyle Washington and 2026 receiver Jasen Lopez will be a dynamic group and one who will be looking to top the efforts of 2024 Miami four-star signee Joshisa Trader and 2024 five-star Ohio State signee Jeremiah Smith. Gino Guidugli did watch Katz throw this spring, which meant the world to Katz as he knows Notre Dame isn't close to South Florida. Katz is also looking forward to competing with Deuce Knight and the other quarterbacks in town this weekend. Knight is someone who has impressed Katz on the OT7 7-on-7 circuit this spring, so he's looking forward to seeing how he stacks up against one of the top guys in 2025. Offers: Appalachian State, Bethune-Cookman, FIU, Louisville, Miami, Ole Miss, SMU, South Florida and Western Michigan https://www.hudl.com/video/3/17908883/65141a5002b15404902941d4Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2024 NCAA Men's Lacrosse National Champions Comfort Colors T-Shirt

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
