Madden Monday Morn. Update
Not a whole lot new to add with regard to California LB Madden Faraimo, although I did want to check in directly with a source that I wasn't able to reach over the weekend.I'm still not sure anything has been completely decided, but the late momentum remains with USC, which shouldn't be a surprise given our reporting last week, which was that whether or not he was at the Coliseum on Saturday as a guest of the Trojans could be indicative of which way he was leaning.Sources on both sides of things here now seem in agreement that USC looks to be the team to beat.Faraimo has been difficult to read throughout and within the last couple weeks I've had sources at one program say, "We could be first...or we could be third." And sources at the other program say, "That's exactly how we feel."I say that because it does seem like even those on the inside are reading some tea leaves at this point, but this is the strongest any sources have been in months.

On Madden
As I mentioned in this week's ISD Intel, I'd been told whether or not 2025 California LB Madden Faraimo was hosted by USC for today's game against the Irish could provide the most valuable insight yet as to where he was leaning. The source said there was a chance he could have a final decision before today and that if that decision was Notre Dame, he'd probably not feel comfortable going to USC as a guest of the Trojans. While that would have been close to definitive, the opposite wouldn't necessarily be so.Well, I'm told Faraimo is indeed expected to be at the game today. What does that mean? I'm not quite sure to be honest. Prior to Thanksgiving, there seemed to be a very real possibility that he could shut it down, decide he was going to ND and be done with it before today. At the very least, that has not happened yet. We'll continue to monitor it though.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
