A Few Notes
- I like where Notre Dame currently stands with 2025 DE Damien Shanklin, 2025 CB Mark Zackery IV, 2025 OL Jack Lange and 2025 CB Dallas Golden coming out of today's visit after talking to various sources. The amount of times Golden, Shanklin and Zackery have visited campus in the last year speaks volumes of their interest and coming back on Saturday might have spoken even higher. For Lange, it was different as he had only been to Notre Dame for a game and wanted to learn more about the program and school. I think he had his eyes opened to what Notre Dame had to offer outside of football, but also how the program is run day to day. - Notre Dame getting 2025 WR Elijah Burress and 2025 WR Shaun Terry II on campus after starting to express interest within the last two weeks is big even if they don't land them as it shows the ability of Mike Brown to build initial interest. But even on a smaller level, it's good for Notre Dame to get as many receivers and players to campus as possible. - We've covered the win to get Talyn Taylor and Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng on campus. But even then, it might have underestimated the importance of getting them around so many of Notre Dame's commits. - I like where Notre Dame stands with 2026 quarterback Brady Smigiel. It's obviously early, but in talking to a couple folks, I think he liked it more than he thought despite the poor weather. Long way to go there and that includes Notre Dame figuring out its board. Remember, Notre Dame watched Smigiel, Troy Huhn and Ryder Lyons throw last week in California. - It's also worth noting how many commits and targets want to meet or see 2025 quarterback Deuce Knight. It's almost incredible. When you ask a kid or even parents, they say nice things, but almost always add in a piece about Knight. Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2.0 Lace-Up Pullover Hoodie

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
