2027 DE Commit Locks In OV
2027 Notre Dame DE commit Jackson Vaughn will be back in South Bend for the Rice game to take his official visit. Vaughn did make his way to Notre Dame in June for one of the official visit weekends, but it was technically an unofficial visit, as his reclassification was still in the process of being cleared. The four-star prospect recently transferred to IMG Academy from Bergen Catholic, and the main reason was so that he could enroll early at Notre Dame in January. Bergen Catholic doesn't do reclassification, so Vaughn had been planning a transfer since the early spring. As of right now, I believe Vaughn could be back in South Bend two more times in addition to the Rice game. I expected him (and everyone else) to be at the Miami game in November and then IMG plays in Indiana the Friday before the Stanford game and the family is working on getting to town that weekend as well. Jackson Vaughn Transfers to IMG Academy
2027 Notre Dame defensive end commit Jackson Vaughn will transfer from Bergen Catholic (N.J.) to IMG Academy (Fla.) for his final year of high school football. This is something the four-star prospect has known was going to happen dating back to weeks before he announced his reclassification to the 2027 class. Bergen Catholic doesn't allow students to reclassify, but there was one point when there was potentially a solution, but at the end of the day, the school held firm. Vaughn was at one point set to transfer to a school in New Jersey, but that school also had second thoughts, given he would be there for essentially just the fall semester. Notre Dame has been very active in everything going on with this, and they are more than fine with him going to IMG as it means he's on track to arrive in South Bend for good this winter. But just wanted to make it very clear this has been in the works dating back to the middle of the spring, but a school wasn't decided until last week. Vaughn will move to IMG on Wednesday. 80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.
