2028 Oaks Christian (Calif.) quarterback Treyvone Towns Jr. tells me he'll be back in South Bend this weekend for the USC game. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder camped at Notre Dame for Irish Invasion and left a good impression. As a freshman, Towns threw for 1,996 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions as a freshman. The five-star will be in Ann Arbor for Michigan's noon kick and then travel down to South Bend to watch the Irish play USC. I think Notre Dame has made up ground here, but I don't get the feeling he's closing in on a decision. This will be his second visit to South Bend this fall as he was also at the Texas A&M game.
