Post-Visit Update | 2028 DT Caleb Tucker
2028 Illinois defensive lineman Caleb Tucker came away from Saturday's visit to Notre Dame with the Irish firmly among his top options."Notre Dame, they're a top priority," Tucker said. "They're definitely top of my list."The 6-foot-5, 355-pounder from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago made the trip with his family and spent time with defensive line coach Charlie Partridge and staff member DJ Bryant.Tucker particularly enjoyed hearing Partridge explain how he uses his defensive linemen and the different approaches he takes with the position group."He was telling me about the D-line and stuff," Tucker said. "It looked very fun from his standpoint, and I see how he likes to experiment with the D-line."Tucker believes Notre Dame's defensive scheme fits his playing style. He also visited Partridge's house and enjoyed seeing the memorabilia. The Irish have plenty of competition. Tucker holds offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Wisconsin and several others. He hopes to return to Notre Dame in the spring, with November occupied by the high school playoffs.Tucker plans to visit Miami next weekend for its game against Florida State and could also visit Michigan for its game against Indiana if Mount Carmel has a bye week.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22859648/695f3151fa1d6072c74c62fa
