2027 DT Tyler Alexander Gets Good Feel For Notre Dame On OV

A few notes
I believe Notre Dame's first official visit weekend was a success, as the staff stuck to its long-term plan with each prospect over the last few months and it led to great visits all around. - Coming out of the weekend, I feel very confident in saying Notre Dame leads for defensive end Abraham Sesay, defensive lineman Brayden Parks and linebacker Roman Igwebuike. Now, the question will be if any of them take official visits next weekend, as Sesay is expected at Florida State, Parks is scheduled to visit Oregon, and Tennessee is expecting to host Igwebuike. Any cancellation would be very telling. - 2027 defensive lineman Tyler Alexander was back for his second visit and I am hearing he had a great visit. Georgia entered the weekend with the lead, but I think Notre Dame gave him plenty to think about moving forward. It will be interesting to see where he fits into the board for Notre Dame and others if other interior guys make a commitment before him. If I'm Notre Dame, I take him all day, but there are only so many spots, especially when you factor in portal recruiting. - 2027 defensive back Karnell James also made his second visit to Notre Dame. The first visit really opened his eyes to Notre Dame as he saw he was a fit in South Bend. Texas was very worried in the spring about Notre Dame as they knew he was a perfect fit for Marcus Freeman's program on and off the field. The staff did all they could and more this weekend, but I do think distance matters in this one, which is why LSU may be moved ahead of Notre Dame in hopes of flipping the Texas commit. Right now, I'd say he's staying in the South, but I don't think Notre Dame is completely out of it yet. He'll be in Austin next weekend, so all three programs will know where they stand sooner than later. - Former Notre Dame offensive lineman Robert Hainsey had his wedding on campus yesterday, so recruits were rubbing shoulders with some elite names in the NFL while on campus. Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence and several others were at Notre Dame this weekend. Obviously, it's not going to impact a recruit's decision, but it was likely a cool moment for those guys to run into the NFL guys throughout the weekend. Marcus Fakatou Drops Notre Dame: Irish Still Loaded on Defensive Line
Notre Dame is no longer in the mix for 2027 defensive end Marcus Fakatou, but the Irish remain in a strong position with one of the nation's top defensive line classes.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.
