Tough Night for Notre Dame Commits
RB Jahmir Smith: After an undefeated regular season, Smith and Lee County (N.C.) fell 24-7 last night to Cape Fear. Smith ended his career rushing for 100 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown. Smith is expected to be an early enrollee. RB Markese Stepp: The Cathedral (Ind.) star ran 14 times for 54 yards in his final game. The Irish lost to Columbus East 42-13 on Friday night. OL John Dirksen: Marion Local (Ohio) and Dirksen knocked off powerhouse Coldwater 33-0 on Friday night to advance to the State semi-finals against Liberty-Benton. DE Justin Ademilola, DT Jayson Ademilola and LB Shayne Simon: St. Peter's Prep (N.J.) rolled rival Paramus Catholic 42-19 on Friday night to advance to the State Final at MetLife Stadium in two weeks. Justin Ademilola got his first touchdown reception of his career on a 4-yard score in the first half. Simon scored on a 15-yard pass late in the fourth to seal the deal. CB Joe Wilkins Jr.: In probably the wildest game of the weekend, Wilkins and North Fort Myers fells 7-6 to Fort Myers. Down 7-0 with 30 secs left, Fort Myers ran the ball on 4th and 4, fumbled, and Wilkins returned it 64 yards to the house. However, North Fort Myers would go for two and get stopped. S Paul Moala: Moala led Penn (Ind.) to a 34-7 win over Carmel to advance to the State Title game next weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium against Ben Davis. QB Phil Jurkovec and LB Ovie Oghoufo play today in the State Playoffs.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
