Gonna Be Interesting
Notre Dame salvaged last year's recruiting class by uncovering and recruiting guys like Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Jafar Armstrong Kofi Wardlow Jordan Genmark-Heath & Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa hard down the stretched. In the wake of 4-8, it was impressive to see them discover and close on guys like that so quickly. It'll be interesting to see how the Irish do this time. They won't be in scramble mode as much this year, especially with 21 already signed and another committed, but the board will still need to expand in some areas - as it always does. And instead of dealing with 4-8, they can sell 10-3 and a New Year's Bowl win over an SEC opponent. But now they have to do it with a pair of open spots on the coaching staff at positions they're still chasing (OL/S).

ND Checked on a 2018 UVA LB Commit
Notre Dame found success in 2017 stealing Virginia linebacker commit Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah away from the Cavaliers. Mike Elko was in New Jersey this week checking the temperature with another Virginia linebacker commit Javar Garrett. The three-star prospect committed to the Hoos on April 1st and Notre Dame wants to get him to campus this summer to see him workout. "Coach said I am big on their radar and I can earn my offer at a camp this summer as long as I come and ball out," stated Garrett. Will he do that? "No, sir," responded Garrett when asked if coming to camp was an option. Garrett seems vert content with his commitment to Virginia, so I don't expect him to visit any other schools unless he becomes unhappy with the situation in Charlottesville.Junior Highlights http://www.hudl.com/video/3/4317113/580fa6eaf617086410d7166d

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
