2019 Four-Star LB Brandon Smith Sets Decision Date
2019 Louisa County (Va.) linebacker Brandon Smith will announce his college decision on May 21st at 5:00 p.m. ET. The four-star prospect was last at Notre Dame on April 4th and visited Ohio State and Penn State after his stop in South Bend. Smith also took an official visit to Texas A&M on April 20th. 2019 Delaware OL Saleem Wormley tells me he's expecting Irish OL Jeff Quinn to swing by high school on Thursday. Wormley is set to take an official visit to South Bend June 15th.Irish defensive coordinator Clark Lea is expected to drop in to check out 2019 Virginia LB Brandon Smith soon. The Irish hosted Smith last month and remain in the race.Recently-offered New Jersey defensive end David Ojabo told me he's been told the Irish will be by to see him at some point too. Ojabo, who is from Scotland, told me he plans to make a visit to South Bend when his parents visit the States sometime in June.2019 Notre Dame CB commit KJ Wallace said Lea, DB coach Todd Lyght and Autry Denson will all be by during the evaluation period.2019 California CBs Isaiah Rutherford and Max Williams are both expecting Lea and Brian Polian to make appearances at their school during the next couple weeks.2019 Georgia ATH Jammie Robinson tells ISD that he's expecting Notre Dame at his school on Monday. It may be hard to get Robinson out of SEC country, but the Irish offered last month and are going to try.2019 Tennessee WR TJ Sheffield has told Matt he's expecting Notre Dame to be by today. Sheffield has been to South Bend once and we expect him to return for an official.

Irish Sports Daily Rating

99-100: Elite national prospect (Five-star)

Considered one of the best prospects in the nation and a likely difference-maker at the collegiate level. Displays all of the physical skills to be a future All-American with potential to be an early-round NFL draft pick.

90-98: Elite state prospect (Four-star)

Considered one of the best 30-40 prospects in the state and a top 250 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to be a major early contributor at the collegiate level with high professional potential.

80-89: Quality prospect (Three-star)

Considered one of the best 100 prospects in the state and a top 500 national prospect. Displays the physical skills to develop into a contributor over the course of his college career. Has the ability to become a professional prospect over time with development.

70-79: Solid prospect (Two-star)

Considered one of the top 250 prospects in the state. Has the physical skills to be a potential contributor at a D-1 program over the course of his collegiate career with significant development. Professional potential is low.
