Two Interesting 2019 Recruits in for Irish Invasion
2019 Dulles (Texas) athletes Ainias Smith and 2019 Union (Wash.) athlete Darien Chase will be in South Bend for Irish Invasion this weekend. Georgia is the lone school to offer Smith, but several schools like Nebraska and UCLA are close to offering. Smith's older brother, Maurice, was part of a HIGH profile transfer from Alabama to Georgia last summer. Programs are recruiting Smith as an athlete and will likely workout at receiver and defensive back at Irish Invasion. Brian Polian stopped to see Chase over the Spring Evaluation Period to extend an invite to Irish Invasion. The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder is one of the top athletes on Northwest in the 2019 class and is close to getting offers from Boise State, Oregon, Washington, and Washington State. He has yet to get his first offer but if he has a good showing on Saturday, it wouldn't surprise me to see Notre Dame offer in time. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.
