New PWO Offer: 2018 GA OL Nicholas Sligh
Just got off the phone with 2018 Clarke Central (Ga.) offensive lineman Nicholas Sligh, who picked up a preferred walk-on offer from Notre Dame on Wednesday. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder holds offers from about 20 schools right now, but Stanford has also offered preferred walk-on spot. Air Force, Army, Brown, Colgate, Cornell, Dartmouth, Furman, Georgetown, Mercer, Navy, New Mexico, Robert Morris, South Alabama, Southern Illinois and Yale are a few of the programs who have offered Sligh. Sligh said Air Force, Stanford, Notre Dame and a few of Ivy's have his attention. One significant note is the fact Sligh grew up in a Notre Dame household and he's a big Notre Dame fan. So, much like Phil Jurkovec, he's grown up dreaming of playing for the Irish. However, academics are at the center of this decision and he has some great options on the table, so it's not a lock right now. Sligh plans to get to campus after this weekend at some point and ideally wants to have a decision in by National Signing Day, but he is more than fine with waiting until after as he is on a schedule with regular students in terms of a calendar decision. National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
