Clemson offers two prospects and ND Impact
2019 Malvern Prep (Pa.) offensive lineman Jake Hornibrook just added an offer from Clemson on Wednesday. Hornibrook is the younger brother of Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook, but also the teammate of 2019 Notre Dame linebacker target Keith Maguire Jr., who is considered a Clemson lean. Maguire announces his college decision on Friday. Clemson also offered 2019 quarterback Graham Mertz, who Notre Dame continues to push for a visit. Mertz is currently committed to Wisconsin and picked up an offer from the Irish last week. It's also worth noting I don't expect Clemson to be a factor here as the Tigers landed its top guy in Taisun Phommachanh a few weeks ago, but they are looking for a 2 QB class. I doubt Mertz wants to deal with being the 2nd guy in the class, while being a year behind Trevor Lawrence.

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.
