Quick Note: Notre Dame has a chance to impress on Saturday night
Getting 6-0 is important but Notre Dame will have a chance to make a big impression on the recruiting trail on Saturday night in Blacksburg as a few targets will be at Lane Stadium.2019 WRs Elijah Bowick and Jacoby Pinckney: Notre Dame targets but both are currently committed to the Hokies. Trying to track down if Notre Dame is still in contact as the Irish are keeping in touch with a few 2019 WRs at this stage. 2020 ATH Chris Tyree: One of the top prospects on the board for the Irish in the 2020 class. Tyree will be a five-star prospect and is very interested in Notre Dame. In fact, he told me this afternoon he plans to be at Notre Dame sooner than later. He wasn't sure if he'd make it for a game but Notre Dame is a program this speedster wants to check out and that's a great thing. Enjoy this: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7857094/5bb2467ad4684b106c54e75a2020 OL Bryn Tucker: Tucker is one of the top offensive linemen in the country and visited Notre Dame for the season-opener. Notre Dame is a school on high his list but it's still going to be tough for the Irish to pull him out of the South. Tucker will have the Irish in his final group when that time comes and seeing another win in person would be a significant positive. 2020 OL Walker Parks: Familiar name, right? Parks was at Notre Dame this past weekend for the Stanford game after earning an offer at camp over the summer. I'm not sure Parks is "top of the board" guy but he's a player Notre Dame likes a lot. 2020 DE Coziah Izzard: It's going to be a long shot for Notre Dame but they offered early. Penn State looks like the team to beat early on but Izzard will see one of the best defensive lines in the country in action on Saturday night. Can the Irish make a big enough impression to get him to visit? 2020 OL Michael Carmody: Carmody has made a few trips to Notre Dame over the last few months and will likely make many more over the next few months as his brother plays hoops for the Irish. The Pittsburgh native doesn't hold an offer yet but I would imagine he's on the list to be evaluated on the bye week and/or after the season wraps up. 2020 OL Mitchell Mayes: Mayes was set to be in South Bend last weekend but didn't make the trip due to a last minute situation. If Mayes makes it to VT, the Irish and Jeff Quinn will have the chance to impress.
