Safe Travels 3/22 | ND Prospects Visiting Elsewhere
Notre Dame isn't the only program busy hosting prospects during spring break for many high schools across the country. In fact, many targets will be hitting multiple schools during swings this month, including some who have South Bend on the itinerary. 2020 Massachusetts offensive lineman Zak Zinter is at Notre Dame today and tomorrow before stops at Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan within the next week. 2020 Washington cornerbacks Donovan Clark and 2021 Washington wide receiver Emeka Egbuka were at Northwestern before Thursday's stop at Notre Dame. 2020 Washington cornerback Kasen Kinchen will be at Northwestern today. Egbuka is scheduled to be stop at Ohio State before returning to the West Coast. 2020 Colorado offensive lineman Reece Atteberry is also expected in Columbus this weekend along with 2021 St. Louis defensive end Travion Ford. Meanwhile, 2020 Colorado offensive lineman Roger Rosengarten began the week with a two-day visit in Columbus before spending Wednesday and Thursday at Michigan. He's set to spend a couple days in South Bend now before a trip to Iowa. 2020 St. Louis running back Reggie Love has told us he'll be at Tennessee this weekend while 2020 New York running back/linebacker Cullen Coleman will be at Penn State. 2020 Massachusetts athlete Cam Large is scheduled to be at Duke starting today. And after stops at Clemson and Florida State last week, 2020 Michigan defensive lineman Braiden McGregor and his family are back on the road down South with stops at Florida, LSU, Alabama staggered between yesterday and tomorrow.
Chip Long In STL (Updated 8:40 pm.)
2020 RB Reggie Love tells me Notre Dame OC was by Trinity Catholic to check on him as well as his teammates.Contact has to be limited in these instances, but Long did leave a message for Love letting him know how excited ND was about making his top seven and their hopes to get him back to South Bend for another visit this offseason. Here's my story on Love from earlier in the dayhttps://irishsportsdaily.com/s/8476/2020-rb-reggie-love-talks-top-7-denson-departure-moreUPDATE (8:40 p.m.)No surprise that Long also made his way over to DeSmet Jesuit while in town. DeSmet, of course, is home to one of Notre Dame's topwide receiver targets in the Class of 2020, Jordan Johnson.Again, contact is pretty limited during these visits, but Long's visit to the school was enough to get Johnson to consider scratching a planned visit to Alabama on Jan. 26th in favor of another trip down to South Bend. Johnson has already been to Notre Dame a couple of times, but wants to get back to get a feel for what campus/student life is like. He's planning to announce his final decision on July 28th.
