The Latest | 2022 QB Drew Allar
Caught up with 2022 Medina (Ohio) QB Drew Allar last night to see where he's at in his recruitment. He has sent Notre Dame some offseason throwing tape and he's hopeful the contact increases over the next few weeks. If Notre Dame does offer, it'd be a significant one for Allar. He's more than aware Notre Dame is a program that doesn't offer a ton of quarterbacks each year, which would be a big deal. He visited last winter and loved it. The campus was a big sticking point as he liked the feel and the layout as it was different than most colleges he's visited. The recent run of big-time programs offering hasn't surprised him to a point. He's been in contact with the schools that have offered, so none were completely out of the blue, which happens frequently when a kid blows out.He did grow up an Ohio State fan, but he also calls himself more of a fan of college football as he watches all the games on Saturday. That may be worth noting if 2022 QB Quinn Ewers ends up flipping back to Texas, but I've been told by a few sources that Ohio State already knows its No. 2 option if that happens and it's not Allar. Finally, I did see the posts on here raving about his arm strength. Allar told me he did max out his arm in August and he can throw it 65-70 yards.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/11295324/5f9db3f25ca95f07dc02d43e

National Average Rating

The National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a Irish Sports Daily rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the Irish Sports Daily Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide Irish Sports Daily readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Notre Dame and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Notre Dame and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
