Alexis Donn & Joey Warner — Debut 'Blue & Gold'
Notre Dame Stadium debuted the track Blue & Gold on Saturday afternoon right before kickoff as the Irish knocked off New Mexico.

“Blue & Gold” is Alexis Donn & Joey Warner’s tribute to their alma mater, the University of Notre Dame. With lyrics inspired by the iconic Notre Dame Football program, Donn’s soaring vocals adorn Warner’s bold electronic-style production, creating an anthem that truly captures the epic nature of a Notre Dame gameday.
A varsity track athlete and member of the graduating Class of 2018, Alexis Donn has been writing and performing music since 2011. She began her professional career as a country artist in 2016, quickly gaining over 10k followers on social media and receiving support from Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town’s management team before switching to focus on pop music in 2018. Her catchy writing and vocal style immediately gained interest from producers all over the globe, and within a year her music had been streamed over half a million times across platforms.
Joey Warner graduated in 2019 with a degree in music theory after having served as the Head Drum Major of the Notre Dame Marching Band for the 2018-2019 football season. He only began writing music in his freshman dorm room, but has since gone on to a professional career as a songwriter/music producer — accumulating millions of streams over the past few years and signing with Armada Music, one of the premier record labels in the electronic music scene.
Donn and Warner first collaborated in 2018 on the electronic pop single “3AM”, released under Warner’s former alias “MiNDTRiX”. Released independently, the record took off — quickly garnering over 200k streams on Spotify alone. Then in the summer of 2019, Alexis approached Joey with the idea of writing a song dedicated to their beloved alma mater. The next day she sent him the first draft of “Blue & Gold”, and within the week the track was finished.
