We’ve added several underclassman prospects to this weekend’s Visit List and expect to add more in the days to come.

2021 Florida offensive lineman Michael McLaughlin‍ will be making his way back to the Midwest for the visit.

“I’m originally from Indiana,” McLaughlin told ISD. “I recently moved to South Florida this summer.”

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School standout has early offers from Florida State and Miami. He’s looking forward to returning to his home state during his high school team’s bye week.

“I was planning on attending my old school’s homecoming game while I’m in town,” he added. “I figured this would be a good opportunity to catch up with some friends and attend a game as well.”

2021 Kentucky tight end Logan Weedman‍ will be returning to South Bend after a visit this summer.

“I got to see a lot of the facilities even though the indoor facility was under construction,” said Weedman. “I got to see the locker room and look at the game field. This Saturday, I’m looking forward to the atmosphere there and getting to grow my relationship with the coaches.”

Weedman, who comes from the same Apollo High School that produced Hunter Bivin, already has offers from Kentucky and Western Kentucky.

2021 Missouri linebacker Scott Presson‍ will be in town. He currently has an offer from Toledo.

“They used to send me mail about coming to the camps and I was supposed to come to camp in the summer, but I had something dealing with my team,” he explained. “We were doing a 7-on-7 tournament when I was supposed to go up there, so they sent me a game invite.”

Presson added that he’s looking forward to “feeling the atmosphere on gameday.”

Other 2021 prospects who have confirmed their plans for the weekend included offensive lineman Beau Stephens‍ (Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri offers), wide receiver JoJo Johnson‍ (Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Western Michigan offers), wide receiver/defensive back Joop Mitchell‍ and defensive tackle Doran Ray‍ (Bowling Green, Iowa State and Western Michigan offers).

The Irish will also be hosting a pair of 2022 targets who already have impressive offer sheets.

2022 New York running back Sam Martin‍ has early offers from schools like Tennessee, Wake Forest, Purdue, Rutgers and Boston College among others.

“They sent an email to my coach saying their inviting me to visit the campus for any of the remaining home games,” Martin said of the Irish. “There’s a lot that has me excited about this visit, but I think the one thing that excites me most is the that I always watch them on TV and now I’m actually going to watch the game in person.

“I’m gonna see what the routine of game day is like at Notre Dame, one of my favorite schools!”

2022 Missouri wide receiver Kevin Coleman‍ may actually have the most impressive offer sheet of any of the non-committed targets in town. Despite having just started his sophomore year, Coleman already counts Georgia, LSU, Miami, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Illinois among others among his scholarship offers.
