Troy Stellato‍ had an impressive offer sheet coming into his junior season at Cardinal Gibbons, but the 2021 Florida wide receiver is just blowing up now.

In the last few weeks alone, the 6-foot, 175-pounder has picked up offers from Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, USC, Miami, Penn State, North Carolina, Duke, Oregon, Washington State, Georgia Tech, TCU and Pitt to go with offers he already had from schools like Tennessee, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Boston College and Purdue among others.

“It’s a blessing to be honest,” Stellato says of the surge of recent interest. “I’ve worked so hard to get to this point. I feel like colleges are starting to take notice of my talent and what I’ve put out there on Fridays.

“They don’t see the little things that I’ve put in to get to this point. It’s finally all paying off, but I’m going to keep my foot on the gas pedal and not put on the brakes at all. I’m hungrier than ever to show everyone who I am.”

Stellato says his 4.4-speed has helped him jump out on film.

“Speed kills,” he says. “Speed is everything. They like my route-running and my catch radius. I don’t let any balls get to my body. I attack them with my hands. They love that too, that I catch the ball with my hands and have really good hands. I’m just an all-around good receiver.”

The Fort Lauderdale native is receiving interest from other schools as well, including Notre Dame after a recent message from Irish Director of Player Personnel Dave Peloquin.

“He just said I’m off to a great start to my year and that he had a chance to watch my film and was really impressed by it,” Stellato says of the message from Peloquin. “He wants to move forward with the recruiting process with me and that he likes me a lot.”

Stellato described hearing from the Irish as “awesome.”

“I grew up loving Notre Dame,” he says. “They’ve always been among my top dream schools that I would love to play for one day. It’s just a dream come true that all of these schools are reaching out to me and offering me.

“A school like Notre Dame has been a top-notch program for I don’t even know how many years. They’re a great, great program. It’s really flattering that a school like that is reaching out to me and that they like me and want me.”

Stellato made unofficial visits to Alabama and Ohio State over the last two weeks.

“I was planning on trying to get up to a Notre Dame game this season,” he says. “I was actually talking to my dad about it, probably toward the end of the year…just depending on how the recruiting process is going with them. If I get an invite to one of the games, I’d love to go.

“I’ve never been to the South Bend area. I’ve heard it’s beautiful. I’ve heard there’s nothing like the campus. Just the atmosphere and how they do things at Notre Dame I heard there’s nothing like it in the country. I want to see it for myself, with my own eyes because I’ve heard great things about the school. That’s always been a top school of mine.”
