2021 LB Tristan Cox Enjoys Notre Dame Stop
Tristan Cox had been looking forward to getting to Notre Dame for a while and after getting to South Bend for the Irish’s win over Bowling Green on Saturday, the 2021 Kentucky linebacker was not disappointed.
“It went really well,” the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder told Irish Sports Daily afterward. “I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I loved campus. Campus is very beautiful. The hospitality was great. Everything was amazing.”
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder, who has offers from Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue and Cincinnati, was struck by the history in South Bend.
“It’s all about tradition and everybody participates in it,” the Pulaski County High School standout said. “That’s what I loved about it.”
Cox was also impressed by the campus.
“Nothing looks run-down or anything,” he said. “It’s all just beautiful. Nothing to complain about.”
The Irish’s 52-0 blowout win over Bowling Green also left an impression.
“It was amazing,” he said. “They’re a very explosive team. They’re all team players and everyone got to get in.”
Cox wasn’t able to have much one-on-one time with the coaches, but did speak with multiple staff members.
“They were just saying they hoped I enjoyed my visit and that they’d stay in touch,” he recalled. “It felt really good. Obviously, I didn’t get to spend much time with coaches, but I really enjoyed my time. I can’t complain.
“I’m going to try to stay in touch with all of those guys and reach out to some coaches and hopefully build some relationships.”
