2021 OL Aaron Gunn Sees Notre Dame As The Good Kind Of Different
Aaron Gunn got his first look at Notre Dame this weekend when the 2021 Pennsylvania offensive lineman made the trip to South Bend for the Irish’s primetime game against USC.
“It went great,” the 6-foot-4, 294-pounder told Irish Sports Daily. “It was a great atmosphere and I got to see campus too.
“I really liked campus, it was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s different.”
The Union High School standout said it was a good different.
“You can tell it’s a historic place,” said Gunn, noting how it has a blend of a traditional and modern feels.
His offer sheet currently includes schools like Michigan State, Kentucky and West Virginia among others. The New Castle, Pa., native was struck by the atmosphere inside Notre Dame Stadium.
“It was crazy,” he said. “The people were standing the whole time.”
He was also impressed with the Irish’s performance during their 30-27 win over the Trojans.
“They played well,” he said. “I like their style. I watched them before. I like their style.”
Gunn had a chance to speak with Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn during the trip.
“We just talked about a couple things,” he explained. “He said he liked my film when he watched me. He wants to get me out again for another visit.”
The talented junior said he’d like to make a return trip, but will have to check his schedule.
“I’d just like to get with the staff to talk with them again and some of the players too,” he said.
He has one other visit locked in as of now.
“I’m going to Penn State’s Whiteout next weekend.”
