2021 DE Royce White Impressed With Notre Dame
Royce White had a chance to visit South Bend for the first time for Notre Dame’s game against USC earlier this month.
“The visit went really good,” the 2021 Georgia defensive lineman told Irish Sports Daily.
“I really loved the way they ran things up there.”
The Troup County High School standout currently has offers from schools like Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Purdue and Cincinnati among others.
“I had the opportunity to listen to three NFL players speak about their process to the NFL and how going to Notre Dame helped them get to that point,” White said of the player panel the Irish set up before the game.
“I also got to see just about the entire campus, it is really beautiful and looks like it has a lot of history to it.”
White was also able to check out Notre Dame’s facilities and speak with some staff members, but nothing too in-depth.
“The atmosphere was CRAZY, overun completely by the Irish and I could feel the air vibrating,” White said. “Whenever they scored, hundreds of people were getting bench-pressed in the stands at a time and it was just a really fun environment.”
He was also impressed with the attitude and aggression of the Irish during their 30-27 win over USC.
“Notre Dame had an extremely physical game and you could tell all 22 people on the field were out to hurt someone, seeing them play up close and being able to hear the contact was an experience in its own,” said White.
White isn’t sure what’s next for him and Notre Dame, but it sounds like he’d welcome continued interest.
He visited Alabama last week and is set to check out Wake Forest next week.
