2021 WR JoJo Johnson Enjoys Second Notre Dame Trip This Fall
After making the trip up to South Bend for Notre Dame’s game against Virginia in late-September, JoJo Johnson was back in town earlier this month for the Irish’s game against USC.
“It went well,” the 2021 receiver from Hammond, Ind., said. “I like the coaches.”
Johnson has early offers from schools like Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Ball State and Toledo among others. The Irish gave Johnson a rough outline of what to expect from them moving forward.
“The coaches broke it down,” he said. “They talked about the recruiting process and how it’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior enjoyed himself inside Notre Dame Stadium again.
“It was great,” he said. “They have a lot of fans at their games. They played good.”
He noticed a distinct difference in the atmosphere for the game against the Cavaliers and the one against the Trojans.
“The fans weren’t as hyped because it wasn’t really a rivalry, but against USC, it’s one of the biggest rivalries, so they were amped up for the game,” he said.
Having just been to Notre Dame weeks earlier, there was a ton of new things to see.
“It wasn’t anything really new, but we did view different facilities,” he said.
He expects to keep in touch with the Irish in the months to come.
“I’m planning to get up for another visit and then we’ll see if they offer later in the process,” he said.
He’s also looking at potential trips to Wisconsin, Purdue, Cincinnati and others.
