Getting over the hump.  Getting the monkey off your back.  These are things Brian Kelly mentioned a number of times this week about his team’s win over Virginia Tech.  The Irish head coach felt his team and struggling quarterback had done exactly that, and judging by the way his team played on Saturday, I think he was right.  

While the Irish didn’t play a perfect game on Saturday, I do think they played one of their better games this season.
