40 points is never a bad game, but with the way Notre Dame had played on offense the previous two weeks, it felt like a bit of a step back.

Boston College deserves a lot of credit for changing up things during their bye week. They ran a lot more cover 1 in previous games and this game they ran more zone pressures and it took Notre Dame awhile to adjust to that.

BC’s defense got a big boost having linebacker Isaiah McDuffie back as well. That certainly made a difference for them.
