Talyn Shettron‍ already has a pair of Power Five offers and the 2022 Oklahoma wide receiver is certain to add more before the recruiting process is over, but it’s really just getting started for him.

Shettron took a visit to South Bend last weekend to check out Notre Dame as part of that process.

“It went very well,” the Edmond Santa Fe High School standout said.

“I saw the facilities and locker room.”

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound sophomore, who already has offers from Oklahoma State and Arkansas, was impressed.

“They were really nice, I liked them a lot,” he said.

He also had the chance to speak with Irish receivers coach Del Alexander.

“He was telling me how he likes me and how he’d see me fitting in there,” Shettron said of Alexander.

He enjoyed himself inside Notre Dame Stadium.

“I liked it a lot,” Shettron said. “The student section was crazy and I thought that was pretty cool.”

He was also impressed with what he saw from the Irish’s offensive scheme during their 40-7 rout of Boston College.

“I liked how they used their receivers in the offense,” he said.

Shettron plans on returning to South Bend in the future.

“I’m going to try to visit Notre Dame as much as I can in the offseason, try to come to a camp or something like that,” he said.

“Just see the whole campus, the buildings and stuff.”

Next up though is a likely trip to Stillwater for Bedlam between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma on Saturday.
