Michael Mayer Prepares For State Title, Visits With Long

It’s been an eventful week for Michael Mayer‍ and the week’s biggest event has yet to come, when Mayer and his Covington Catholic High School squad will play in the state championship for the third straight year.

On Wednesday night, the 2020 Notre Dame tight end commit hosted Irish offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Chip Long.

“It means a lot,” the Kentucky native said of Long made the trip down to spend time with him.
