Irish Sports Daily can confirm through multiple sources Notre Dame has parted ways with offensive coordinator Chip Long.

Long had been in the position since 2017 and helped the Irish to a 32-6 record over the last three seasons, including an appearance in the College Football Playoff last season.

It's unknown what Long's next move could be, but he built an impressive resumè over the few years as he's worked for Brian Kelly and new Florida State coach Mike Norvell.

Long's Irish offense in 2019 was 33rd in yards per play and averaged 37.1 points per game this season, which was 13th in the country.

Stay tuned to IrishSportsDaily.com for the latest on the offensive coordinator position.
