Potential Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator Candidates

Chip Long will be remembered fondly by some Notre Dame fans for the offenses he coached that consistently produced explosive plays. He won’t be remembered as fondly by others for the struggles his offenses had against elite defenses.

That was the story with Long at Notre Dame. He had good offenses, but never an elite one. If the goal is to win a national championship, the next guy calling plays has to help the offense take that next step that Long couldn’t get them to.
