When Notre Dame offered Lewis back in May, it was clear it was an offer he was going to take seriously. He had offers from schools like Virginia Tech, Duke, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Boston College and Purdue among others at the time. A month later, he was in South Bend for an official visit and didn’t try to hide the fact that it could be the only official he’d take during the process. Indeed it was as Lewis announced his pledge to the Irish upon to New Jersey that Sunday.

I think Lewis has a very high ceiling and his skillset fits both boundary corner and safety. I really value big athletes with ball production who can tackle in the secondary and Lewis checks those boxes for me.

I feel pretty confident Lewis will stick at defensive back and once he finds his right position fit at Notre Dame, he has the potential to develop into a quality starter.
