The Camping World Bowl is a disappointment for a Notre Dame team that had much loftier goals heading into the season. Any player on the team that says he’s happy about being there rather than in the Playoff would be a liar.

That doesn’t mean they are taking this opportunity to play in this game for granted, though. Brian Kelly’s 2014 team who played in the Music City Bowl didn’t. Neither did the 2017 team who ended up in the Citrus Bowl.
