Ian Book Returning To Notre Dame

Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book will return for a fifth season as he announced it via Instagram.

Book completed 240-of-399 passes for 3,034 yards, 34 touchdowns and six interceptions this fall to go along with 546 rushing yards and four touchdowns. 

Elected a captain, the first quarterback in the Brian Kelly era, Book will look to be a two-time captain and lead the Irish back to the College Football Playoff in 2020. 

The California native has racked up 6,118 passing yards, 57 touchdowns and just 17 interceptions over his career with the Irish. 

Book holds a record of 20-3 as the starting quarterback at Notre Dame. It also means Book could very well Notre Dame as with the most wins by starting quarterback in program history. Tom Clements, Brady Quinn and Ron Powlus all sit at 29.
