Alohi Gilman Declares For The NFL Draft
Notre Dame safety Alohi Gilman has declared for the NFL Draft and will forgo his fifth season of eligibility.
Gilman transferred to Notre Dame from Navy after his freshman year in 2016.
The Hawaii native will end his collegiate career with 244 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss, one sack, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
For Gilman, this move makes a lot of sense as 2020 would have been his sixth season out of high school and his time clock was ticking.
Following Notre Dame's football banquet, Gilman hinted he was ready for the next step, but the Camping World Bowl was his focus.
"I’m very confident that I’m ready to be a professional,” stated Gilman. “But until then, I’ll continue to focus on this team and get another win.”
