I’m sure there were many Notre Dame fans rooting for Clemson last night, simply because of what it could mean for next year’s matchup in South Bend.

Clemson would be the Goliath coming into the game with a winning streak approaching 40 games. Even an undefeated Notre Dame would be considered the David going up against Dabo Swinney’s dynasty.

Swinney may still have a Goliath on his hands, but they came in as the underdog against LSU for a reason.
