Former 2020 Notre Dame cornerback signee Landon Bartleson is facing multiple charges following being taken into custody on Friday after being involved in a burglary and other incidents.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly released a statement on Saturday stating the program was releasing Bartleson from his national letter of intent:

"After reviewing all of the facts available to us and speaking with the Bartleson family, we informed them that Landen will no longer be welcomed as a member of our football program. This incident is very much out of character for the man we have come to know and we wish Landen and his family well.”

According to the Danville (Ky.) Police Department, Bartleson and two others were charged with burglary 1st degree and criminal mischief 1st degree.

Investigators also tied the three to a motor vehicle theft and all three were charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000.

The Danville Police Department also stated investigators recovered nine firearms from the burglary.
