Notre Dame came into the season with plenty of questions about the running back position and they finished the season with almost as many.

That’s the one sentence summary of the running back position in 2019. A lead back emerged, but injuries and inconsistency plagued the group. There wasn’t a reliable second option and while the team went on a six game winning streak to end the season, it wasn’t until the bowl game that a back rushed for more than 61 yards during that time.
