Notre Dame lost their top receiver and needed someone to step up as a true number one option. With a move over to the boundary, the table was set for Chase Claypool to be that guy.

It was evident back in the spring that he was prepared for the opportunity. He was dominant with no one able to cover him. That continued into the summer where he was not stopped all of fall camp.

He went above and beyond replacing the production lost from Miles Boykin.
