Top 2021 OL Nolan Rucci Plans To Get Away For Decision Mode
As one of Notre Dame’s top offensive line targets in the Class of 2021, Nolan Rucci will be in South Bend for the major o-line recruiting weekend of March 21st.
Rucci is in the middle of scheduling some other visits with loose plans to get to LSU and Wisconsin, where his brother Hayden is a tight end, among other schools.
The Pennsylvania offensive lineman plans on hitting some other schools as well – some repeat trips, some for the first time. When he wraps up that round of visits sometime in the spring, the Warwick High School star is likely to start narrowing his list down.
“I’ll probably make a decision from there,” he told ISD.
The end of the process could be an interesting one for Rucci.
It’s not uncommon for high-profile recruits to get away from everything when they’re in decision mode, they usually do so figuratively.
Rucci may do so literally.
“I’m doing a school trip to Europe in the middle of June,” he said. “When I get back on July 1st, hopefully I’ll have a decision by then.
“I think it’ll be kind of cool because it will give me some time to mull things over, especially being disconnected over there away from everything. It’ll be a different kind of deal than a lot of kids get.”
The Notre Dame coaching staff will obviously be in touch with Rucci following the March trip, but the Irish will surely want to make a strong impression, one that will stretch across the Atlantic Ocean a few months later.
