When Khari Gee‍ announced his Top 10 last week, it was about narrowing the list of offers he’d already had as much as anything.

The 2021 Georgia safety wasn’t shutting himself to more opportunities that could come his way.

And, indeed, on Monday, another opportunity came his way when Notre Dame safeties coach Terry Joseph extended an offer to the Woodward Academy standout.

Exactly where the Irish would fit among the announced Top 10 of Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, Auburn, USC and Oklahoma isn’t immediately clear, but it is clear Gee is going to give the Irish a serious look.

One source tells ISD that Gee has been serious in Notre Dame for over a year and Joseph told Gee that he would fit in great with the scheme they’re running and even compared him to safety Kyle Hamilton, who had an amazing freshman season with the Irish.

Gee intends to find a time to visit South Bend, probably this spring, to get an inside look at the program and the people inside the program.

He’s set to take visits to Oregon and LSU this week and expects to get to Clemson soon as well.

After this round of visits, Gee plans on narrowing his list even further to three or five.

He’d like to have a decision before the start of his senior season, but won’t force one before he’s ready.
