Notre Dame Makes Top 6 for 2021 Tight End Thomas Fidone
It might be a dead period for the college football world, but prospects around the courty are still moving forward with their recruitments.
2021 Lewis Central (Iowa) tight end Thomas Fidone released his top six on Monday and the Fighting Irish made the cut.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder will choose between Iowa, LSU, Michigan and Nebraska, Notre Dame and Penn State.
Notre Dame will have to overcome distance and the familiarity Iowa and Nebraska as the Irish came in somewhat late to this recruitment.
Fidone was set to visit Notre Dame in April, but those plans will need to rescheduled and it’s critical for the Notre Dame to get the four-star prospect on campus as he has yet to see the University.
A visit to campus would also mean a chance to meet new tight ends coach John McNulty.
“I really don’t know how him too much,” Fidone told ISD earlier this month. “We’ve just been talking through text, but he seems really cool.
“That’s the most important thing to me, having a great relationship with the person I’m going to be working with every day.”
Fidone plans to enroll early and would ideally like to have a decision in before the end of the summer.
