MBB | Notre Dame and Kentucky Set Three-Game Series
On Thursday, Notre Dame and Kentucky have announced a three-game series that will begin this year.
Rupp Arena: December 12, 2020
Neutral Site: December 11, 2021
Purcell Pavilion: December 10, 2022
“It is great to renew a series between two of the ‘blue bloods’ of college basketball,” Notre Dame basketball coach Mike Brey said in a statement. “If our recent battles with Kentucky are any indication, these games should be appointment viewing for college basketball fans.”
The most recent battle provided the highest rating ever recorded for a college basketball game broadcast on cable TV as Kentucky held off Notre Dame in the 2015 Elite Eight in Cleveland.
Notre Dame and Kentucky first met in 1929 and the Irish won the first seven meetings, but the Wildcats now hold a 43-19 lead in the series.
