Former Notre Dame Star Brianna Turner Joined SportsCenter on Monday

Former Notre Dame women’s basketball star Brianna Turner joined SportsCenter to discuss the protests across the country with Hannah Storm, also a graduate of Notre Dame. 

The Phoenix Mercury forward has a unique perspective as both of her parents are police officers, which has led to some insightful discussions at home. 

"Why does it keep happening," Turner said when asked about the discussions in her house. "Why is it happening all across our country? Is it an issue with training or racial bias? Obviously, there's a lot of factors at play here.

"I'm in a different position than a lot of people. I live in a house with two law enforcement officers, so it's definitely good to hear their side. Seeing my perspective, I see a lot of stuff on Social Media and they're literally living through it on the opposite side. I think it's good for me to get both of those perspectives."
