It looks as if Notre Dame has added to its staff as Mike O'Guin announced via Twitter that he will be headed to South Bend as a defensive line assistant.

The Texas native comes to Notre Dame from Texas Tech, where he served as a defensive graduate assistant for the past two seasons.

O’Guin will replace former defensive line graduate assistant, Keli'ikuewa Kekuewa, who is now an offensive analyst with the Seattle Seahawks.

Before his stop in Lubbock, O'Guin was the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Texas powerhouse North Shore in Houston. He was part of the 2018 North Shore team that won a State Title on a crazy hail mary.

O'Guin also coached at Angleton High School and John Tyler in Texas.

In college, O'Guin played at SMU and played in six games in 2010 before suffering a knee injury the following spring that ended his career.

O'Guin graduated SMU with a bachelor's in history as well as applied physiology and sports management.

As it relates to Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish have offered top 2022 North Shore cornerback Denver Harris‍.
